Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Re: What was your musical journey to the Dead ... and afterlife ?

Used to hear some music from around the corner, I lived at the corner of Waller and Ashbury, then one day heard them in the panhandle.
Before the Dead, I had only been to a few shows, (PP&M, Paul Revere, Animals, Ike and Tina)) not counting bar bands (Bob Kuban, Fabulous Flippers, White Clover aka Kansas)so everything kind of happened all at once for me, Dead, Hendrix, Buffalo Sprinfield, CJ and The Fish, Big Brother, Airplane, Blue Cheer, etc.
I've always been into lots of different music, before and after hearing the Dead.
